Just a line to say a very big thank you to Rod & Barra for a really exceptional weekend. It was good to see so many familiar (and unfamiliar) faces there and I'm only sorry that we couldn't stay for the Sunday night bash and get a chance to talk to a few more. Still it was nice to hear that we outsung the pongos as well as outmarching them!!
Very pleased to hear that the 30th anniversary will also be in Cardiff as I think my NCP Car Park ticket is still valid until then!
Thanks again fellas,
Best regards,
Jim & Marian Asher

PS Has anyone seen Terry Edson's ligaments?

Feel I missed out on a great time. So glad so many many did manage to go and you all had a great time.
Certainly don't want to miss the 2012 event.
A big thanks also to Rod and Barra for all there efforts in arranging the event and the regular Dits. I think a regular dit would be good for us all to keep in touch.
Regards

Boys, I am exceedingly jealous, but very pleased the event went well. I really missed being there, although watching Wales get trounced and England scrape through made it manageable.
If Rod could let me know the date in 2012 now I will book a holiday, and kill all sick relatives in advance so that I can be there.
Regards to you all,

Dear Rod and Barra,

This is just to thank you both for last weekend, and for all the work that you put in to set it up.
It was great fun to meet so many people again, and quite something to do it in Wetherspoon’s against a backdrop of Wales being beaten by Fiji! The Service and March Past were memorable too the next day, with the CARDIFF82 platoon outdoing all the rest, despite Pongo attempts at sabotage!
It was such a good idea to set up the new website. I hope I’ll be able to contribute a few photos towards it, and it’ll be a good focus for keeping in touch until the 2012 (Olympic?!) Reunion.
Even though we say it ourselves, we’re a good bunch, the ’82 CARDIFFs!

Many thanks again to you both,

Rod/Barra,
Would just like to say thank you for getting this together it was truly a great weekend, My wife found it most amusing that so many men in their 40s and above can carry off acting like 18 year olds and not look out of place, we are (RO) starting to locate the rest of them so we can have them all together for the next one, so cheers you two enjoyed all round.

Just to say I'm sorry I won't be able to join you all this weekend.
I'm down here in Hobart Tasmania awaiting a disc operation so I'm out of the equation unfortunately.
Am keen to hear how you're all doing from the weekend's shenanigans and hope to hear from any of you whenever!
Maybe you may gat down this neck of the woods at some time.
Hope it all goes well shippers!
Cheers

From Jake Fagg (the SMR)
The Lynx Helicopter fleet was not 'issued' with the Skua until the conflict. The missile was rush released earlier than expected and not really proven although testing had been carried out at the Welsh Testing Range.
Cardiff Flight received a batch of 4 missiles plus back-up kit on the way down, I think it was after the Ascension stop. One of the missiles later became unserviceable and we exchanged it by flying to the Hermes during a bloody air raid and swapping it for a good 'un. Regrettably the flight never fired one in anger.
Pete Woodbridge, although the flight airframes and engine Tiff, was part of the missile reloading team whilst the helo was burning and turning during sorties.
